Alaska Housing Finance Corporation Unveils New Website Design

January 11, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — Alaska Housing Finance Corporation (AHFC) announces the launch of a redesigned website,, that will put critical housing resources and information at the fingertips of Alaskans. The website is available today and streamlines all of the information AHFC offers online, making it more easily accessible to people who regularly access the site.

“AHFC offers services ranging from public housing to home loans to energy efficiency, and we found many Alaskans became overwhelmed when they accessed our old site,” said Dan Fauske AHFC CEO & executive director. “We were determined to develop a website that positions our state agency as a partner for Alaskans, is user friendly and makes the experience positive. Getting relevant and timely information out is critical to our mission of providing safe, quality, affordable housing.”

The new website is the beginning of AHFC’s work to create a more robust online user experience.

This redesign features clearly delineated sections for consumers and professionals, as well as easy ways for Alaskans to sign up for a variety of free classes offered by AHFC, including HomeChoice™, the popular free homebuyer class that teaches Alaskans everything they need to know about purchasing and owning a home.

The website also features the newly released 2012 AHFC Annual Report with compelling stories and imagery that highlight AHFC’s role improving the lives of Alaskans.

AHFC is a self-supporting public corporation with offices in 16 communities statewide. It provides statewide financing for multi-family complexes and single-family homes, with special loan options for low- to moderate-income borrowers, veterans, teachers, healthcare professionals, and those living in rural areas of the state. AHFC has a long history of providing Alaskans access to safe, quality and affordable housing through home financing programs, energy efficiency and weatherization programs, public housing and more. Since 1986, AHFC has contributed nearly $2 billion to the State of Alaska’s General Fund. As of the end of 2012, AHFC assets totaled $4.073 billion.
