“We would like to thank Governor Parnell and the Alaska Legislature for helping AHFC provide more and better quality housing for village public safety officers, teachers and nurses in remote areas of our state,” said AHFC CEO and Executive Director Dan Fauske. “Through the competitive grant process, our elected leaders allow AHFC staff to work with applicants to construct and rehab homes at a reasonable cost while also demonstrating their commitment to preserving the lifestyle in rural Alaska and helping communities.”
Five of the new units are for village public safety officer housing, a top priority in Gov. Parnell’s Choose Respect Initiative.
