The bill moves jurisdiction over the permitting and inspection of geothermal wells and operations from the Department of Natural Resources to the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. Juneau, AL - April 15, 2010 - (RealEstateRama) -- Governor Sean Parnell today welcomed the passage of SB 217, legislation that will allow voters in the 2010 general election to approve $600 million of state-guaranteed bonds for the purchase of mortgage loans made to qualifying military veterans. The bonds would be issued by the Alaska Housing Finance orporation. Governor Parnell has encouraged members of the armed services stationed in the state to consider permanent residency after their discharge.

If passed by the Legislature, voters in the 2010 general election would be asked to approve $800 million of state-guaranteed bonds. The bonds would be issued by the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation for the purchase of mortgage loans made to qualifying military veterans.
